About The McKie Family Tree w/Titus/Anderson/Merring/McDowell/Stockwell/
Please sign in to see more.

You are free to use pictures, But please make a note of of where
the came from

Word of caution on the McKie family "after" the Rev William McKie
Of Balmaghie. The information is from other sorces. So please verify the
sorces. At this time i just have his ancestors on here for my notes only.also
keep in mind that In old Galloway documents M'Ghie and M'Kie are used
indiscriminately as well as MacKay and MacKie. People bearing these surnames
are all almost certainly inter-related, along with McKees

Thanks to all that have helped me with this Family tree

"As a paternal courtesy, we the descendants, bearing in remembrance the deeds of our ancestors, and the various trials, and labors which they underwent in the general progress of this country to its present state of advancement. In order to cherish those sentiments which every man, should have for the place of his birth; and in order to stimulate the fraternal feelings among our kinship, to unite us in still stronger bonds of harmony by the recollections of the past; to enable us more duly to appreciate our privileges; and besides to afford a precedent to future generations, which shall testify, that we are not unmindful of the privileges of our birthright"

Warren Mering ,1929

One Day i came to the realization that i knew nothing about my family, where they came from , what they were like , what became of them , so I started this Family Tree. some of the Information I found on the web through various sites. Slowly I have been verifying information on the listed people. By family members, Census records, Death records, Biographies on Towns, and cemetery listings, also from people that have already done the research on their family Members. The farther it goes back the more chance of there being some errors especially on extended family. My focus at this point is direct relatives Of Mckie's, Merring's, Anderson's and Titus's. But I welcome any Corrections on extended Family where I have Errors .and I'm Sure there are a Few. I'm especially interested on finding information on My Great Grandfather Charles M Anderson from Sweden.and also Verifing information I have collected on the McKie's, Im sure there are errors on them also.

My desire is to compile as much information as i Can for future generations, that wake up one morning and ask the question "Where did i come from"?

The best way i have found to browse this site is the family veiw , But you can browse any which way you prefer. Please be sure to veiw the photos. if you go to the top of the page you will see the link for "TREE" click that, thats Me . or if you are looking for a peticular
